The most barefoot sandal we make.
Flow is for those who like to feel the trail underfoot - every curve, texture, and shift in terrain. It's our most minimal sandal: thin, light, and flexible, with just the right amount of grit.
The 6.8mm sole is made from repurposed car tires, layered with a soft textile footbed that feels good from the first step and gets better with time. There's no padding here, just strong, responsive materials that move naturally with your foot.
If you're after a raw, ground-connected experience and a sandal that disappears the moment you put it on - Flow it is.
For barefoot beginners
If you're new to barefoot shoes, Flow might be a bold first step - and that’s okay.
This sandal doesn’t have cushioning or extra support, so your feet will need time to adjust. At first, it can feel different. But with use, your foot muscles start to wake up and strengthen. Movement gets easier. More natural.
We recommend easing into it slowly, especially if you’re used to padded shoes. And if you’re looking for a more forgiving start, take a look at our Groove or Flex models.
For everyday use
Flow is great for everyday walking - especially if you prefer lighter shoes and minimal structure. On soft trails, grass, or natural terrain, it’s in its element.
On concrete and hard city streets, you’ll definitely feel the difference. No padding means your feet do more of the work, which can build strength over time - but expect some adaptation at first.
For barefoot running
You can run in Flow. Many do. It’s light, durable, and grips well on trails and natural paths.
The design is inspired by the Rarámuri (Tarahumara) runners of Mexico, who ran ultra distances in sandals made from tire scraps. Flow is our modern take - same spirit, better fit.
That said, running in a minimal sandal like this isn’t for everyone. If you’re already used to barefoot running, it’ll feel natural. If not, it’s best to build up gradually.
Ground feel
This is where Flow really shines. The sole flexes with your foot, giving you feedback from the ground without getting in your way.
You’ll feel sticks, rocks, and texture - not in a painful way, but in a way that keeps you present. Over time, the footbed molds to your foot, making the fit even more personal.
If staying connected to the terrain is what you’re after, Flow is the closest you’ll get without going barefoot.
In water
Flow handles water surprisingly well. The tire sole grips wet surfaces, and the footbed dries fast. You can walk through streams, jump off rocks, or just rinse them off after a muddy hike - no problem.
